The Swiss manufacturer SOTAX has unveiled its brand-new SDT Offline Dissolution System. With Swiss design, developed and manufactured in India, the new dissolution system combines state-of-the-art technology with robust quality components and a small footprint – making the SDT the most advanced Indian-made dissolution system available in the market today at affordable prices.

With over 40 years of experience in dissolution testing and more than 40,000 systems in the market world-wide, the SOTAX engineering team in Switzerland was presented with the challenge to design a compact state-of-the-art dissolution system specifically for the needs of the growing Pharmaceutical Industry – without making any compromises in quality and user-friendliness. The new SDT Offline Dissolution System, which was unveiled in Chandigarh at James Hotel on Feb 14, 2017 and Ahmedabad at Novotel Hotel on Feb 16 2017, is the result of this effort.

The product launch was witnessed by over 150 scientists and analysts from both the Pharmaceutical Industry and Academia. During the event in Chandigarh, Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Saranjit Singh, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis at NIPER, SAS Nagar and Guest of Honour, Prof. Bhupinder Singh Bhoop, Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University highlighted the growing importance of dissolution in the pharmaceutical testing.

Subsequently, Dr. L. Ramaswamy, Managing Director of SOTAX India, explained the pain and effort SOTAX has taken over the last three years – not only to develop the SDT, but to implement strict quality processes for local manufacturing in India.
